Getting stuck in the negatives (and how to get unstuck) | Alison Ledgerwood
Through several examples Alison Ledgerwood shows us that the way we think tends to outline our conditions for our lives and we must work hard for the good.
Failures in out lives stick with us a lot more than the successes we achieve. We think about them more, and dwell on what has gone wrong – but when we succeed the positive emotions tend to fade quick.
When a scenario is labelled as a negative, even when it has positives within which should be focused on these will easily be overlooked in favour of the former. It is harder to make the change from a bad mindset to a good one than the other way around.
We need to work harder to see the positives in life. When we decide to work towards this, give ourselves positive affirmations each day and remember to talk about the good rather than the anger of the day gone by we can shift our thinking for the better.
